To many, Casa Loma is known as a tourist destination, a landmark, a castle that looks over Toronto. What many do not know is that this remarkable fortress is increasingly becoming the venue for some of Toronto’s most amazing parties.

To start the year off right, Casa Loma rang in 2011 with a Russian Millionaire themed New Years Party. For one magical night, the castle was transformed. The crowd was encouraged to dress with the theme and there was no lack of fur accessories. What was possibly most interesting, besides the hors d’heurves, was the Russian Tzars that were dressed up. With ice luges on the heated outdoors patio and a 40 foot tall Christmas tree in one of the three areas that had been converted into a dance floor for the night, this was definitely one impressive party.

Recently, Casa Loma was the chosen venue for Warner Bros. to host the Harry Potter after party. Guests traded in their wands and cloaks for some more appropriate Black Carpet attire to party in Toronto’s Hogwarts. In attendance was Matthw Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Michael Sheen, Kate Beckinsale, the cast of Degrassi the Next Generation, Property Brothers (W Network), InnerSPACE host Ajay Fry, and Kimberly Newport-Mimran of Pink Tartan, among others.

This is just a snapshot of the fabulous parties Casa Loma has hosted, but we are sure there will be many more to come as well.

Residents of Pears Condo are very fortunate to be just a walk away from Casa Loma, whether it be to visit the historic site during the day or to live like royalty and party at night. Because let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to party in a castle?
